Chocolate with your greens, anyone?

I had another gooder this morning, as my pal Shannon would say.

I just can’t seem to stop this change-it-up-daily smoothie madness.

Here’s my latest healthy, mouth-watering winner:

Chocolate Blueberry Mango Glory

1 cup almond milk (homemade is best; see recipes section)

1/2 cup water

3 -4 cups baby spinach (I used half spring mix/half spinach)

1 tablespoon flax seed (grind ahead if not using high-powered blender)

1 heaping teaspoon spirulina powder

1 heaping tablespoon raw cacao powder

1 small knob fresh ginger, peeled

1 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks

1 cup frozen blueberries

Blend all ingredients except frozen fruit. Once well mixed, add frozen fruit slowly, blending as you go.

Makes 1 large breakfast serving.
